the sudden noise has never really been my style,
but the soft remains of light will catch me for a while.
so fireworks, while nice, are a temporary sight,
but the stars that twinkle all above will stay forever in my eyes.

but i much prefer the simple darkness, the smoke that trails over the trees
to the loud booming sound of chaos,
of fireworks caught in the breeze
