In Black news, AAVE is legit acknowledged by the Linguistic Society of America. They removed the (V) so now it's just AAE=African American English.
As a Black American who often writes in AAE and have people check me on my grammar, I am so happy to finally scream. BLACK ENGLISH IS PROFESSIONAL!!!

When I came out as Queer in 2022 to my super bigoted family they chose to read scriptures to me. But I was already well prepared, and ready. Long story short, they never used scriptures again to vilify my existence.
