Maybe the trick is to just post AI ripoffs of your own books because those seem to be the popular thing nowadays 😂😭

Absolutely. By now I've got nearly 400,000 words written in my Brasswatch series and the whole thing lives and breathes in my head, I feel a lot of warmth when rereading my own work because to me it's quite real.

Not sure which dull plot point you're specifically referencing, but this series practically showcased its wasted potential...

There are no sacred cows in writing. Kill anyone, love anyone, create anyone anew as you see fit. A good writer can wantonly kill a character... as long as they make you give a shit about that character first. 😏

Great character, I hate him already! 😂

Congratulations, sprinkled with a little envy!

Can't avoid editing. You can however procrastinate and delay it. And I've got more methods for that, than blue sky allows by character limit.

I'm confused. Haiku are three lines, five/seven/five syllables. This is 2/6/4?

I've got a storm coming tonight, feel free to reach out if you'd like some eyes on it before you saddle it into the publishing trebuchet 😂

Why not give away the first for free and then combine all of them into the one novel so people love your work then you get their investment. A number of big writers who have a series of books give away the first in the series for free, leading to much greater sales for the rest of the volumes!

I've received advice from professional writers that go both directions, though professional book marketers recommend playing the long game; getting your first book out there sooner will start the clock and likely drum up more visibility (and interest!) in the second book. I faced the same dilemma!

That makes sense! Copied those hashtags from someone else's post and gave it little scrutiny. Thank you! 📖🍻

That's fantastic! Your shelf must be getting full 😏

Or a fat one. In the 90's we were outcasts 😂

Oh what I wouldn't give for a hot tub 😂

It's sad & depressing but it has been the result of a systematically dismantled, crippled education system. I was raised in a revolutionary war era cottage and my mother had me reading from McGuffey's Primer at 3. Perhaps the greatest contribution she made to my life after giving me life, was that.
