That’s what I was thinking. And book one should be the shortest imo. If the subsequent books are a little longer, that’s okay, you’re already committed. As long as it’s plot and not just filler, of course.

Absolutely! I also like the familiarity. I’ve been really into hockey romance lately (normally a fantasy romance girlie but hockey is typically nice and light) and Elle Kennedys book are so predictable that I knew at 80% to strap in 🤣

I think that’s a lot of romances, right? An author has a formula and they stick to it pretty closely. I loved the first two so I definitely need to read the rest!

ACOTAR was the gateway fantasy book for me lol I read a lot as a teenager but stopped. Just got back into it in the last few years and mostly thanks to SJM!
