Pushback had a lot of inspirations but the main one comes from the movie O Brother Where Art Thou and during the KKK rally scene, all I was thinking about was “damn if only I was there and I had a machine gun…”
And I kind of built the story around that central idea - taking out the racists lol

First shipment of books has gone out! My novel is going out to Nevada, California, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Minnesota, Ohio, Maryland, and the United Kingdom! very exciting day for me.

I will have 50 copies, and the first 30-35 are already spoken for. Hoping to get the book into my local grassroots bookstore and maybe even the library!
I hit “accept” on all my proofs for the book printer this evening! The first 50 copies of my book will be available between 3/26 and 4/2!! Holy crap, it’s finally happening!

#author advice needed:
As a reader, would you rather have a book with a high page count but larger type face, or a book with a lower page count but a smaller type face?
My manuscript is currently 546 pages, but the font is fairly large. I feel like that makes it easier to get through.
Thoughts?

Got a call with a book printer on Friday! Very excited to take the next steps with this book. I have a specific plan for how I want this one done, and I have a ton of questions about how to make that happen.

writing, editing, and printing a novel all your own is extremely expensive also extremely frustrating. Just gonna keep telling myself it'll be worth it when I can hold a copy of it in my hands!
