We are starting our introduction chats for our 10-week Wokingham Exploring Being Autistic programme and there are a few spaces available. Contact Jess via email or fill out this survey (s.surveyplanet.com/vqj5474k) if you are an autistic adult (no diagnosis required) and are interested.

We have an in-person and online 10-week programme available. Aim of the programme: Learn about autism and discover if/how it affects you personally Process emotional response to identification/diagnosis Consider pros and cons of disclosing identification/diagnosis Develop strategies to enhance strengths and mitigate challenges associated with autism Meet with autistic peers Cost: We ask for a donation of £300 for the whole programme, including a £25 deposit, which can be paid in instalments, but we never reject anyone on financial grounds so if you are not in a position to pay this, you are still welcome to get in touch.

We were so sorry to hear of the passing of the brilliant Steve Silberman at the end of August. Steve has been a great ally to the autistic community and we at AutAngel have been honoured to meet and interview him over the years. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.

Are you an autistic adult living in the UK? Would you like to discover more about yourself in a supportive group environment? At AutAngel we run a 10 week autistic-led programme for people over the age of 18 called Exploring Being Autistic. Do I need a diagnosis to do the programme? Not at all! Whether you have a diagnosis, are on a waiting list, are self-identified or are just wondering, you are welcome! What can I gain from the programme? You will get the chance to meet with other autistic people and explore the ever-expanding social model of neurodiversity to help you to understand your own neurology, identify your strengths and learn how to mitigate autistic challenges. How can I join? We have online options for anyone living in the UK, and an in-person programme for those who live in and around the Reading area. It was great so see so many people at the East Reading Festival yesterday (23rd June). We had some great conversations with members of the public and spoke to people from other organisations, to find out about the great work that they do too. We are looking forward to coming back again next year!
