If you project over a 35 year lifespan, the amount of energy produced by a 3.5 MW wind turbine on a 1.2 acre footprint may well produce more energy than a shale gas well that's probably only producing about 10% of original output by year 5.

Exactly. If you want influence in the party you need to be willing to show up and work for the nominee, even when they're only 70% better than the GOP nominee in your opinion, and not the 100% better that you're demanding.

And hell, this allows you to raise the taxable income cap significantly... tax up to the first $1 million in earnings, but if your SS is to be based on $500K annual earnings then you're eligible for full benefits at age 75.

I've been floating the idea that Social Security full eligibility age should be tied to benefits income calculations.
For example, if your SS is calculated based on $50k/year income... you're eligible at age 62. If it's based on the full $176k, you can wait until age 70.

And that's why Pete Hegseth and the new head of the joint Chiefs of staff were picked, because Trump believes that this time around he's going to be able to have a military which supports him when he calls for them to deploy and even fire on US citizens.

Perhaps it's because what the Trump Administration really really wants, is some kind of terrorism action, either domestic or foreign, that facilitates calling for a National emergency and justifies using US military on domestic soil.
