Decided to write this after reflecting during the Pledge of Allegiance. I realized that the flag I fought for is not what it use to stand for. It is being weaponized and used for this us vs them regime. It may upset some people but I needed to express my thoughts.

Sometimes, never feeling oppression makes us blind to others’ struggles. Just because we haven’t felt the storm doesn’t mean others aren’t weathering it. Let’s listen, learn, and see beyond our own reality. #Privilege #Empathy #Equality

Question. I am making a sign for the Hands Off event on the 5th, and I am conflicted on which way to word it. It is a line from my poem I wrote, but I am not sure if I use the pronoun "We" or "They?" Which would be more powerful?

Today, I shared my thoughts on Utah's decision to ban Pride flags from schools and government buildings, expressing my disappointment in this restrictive law. Unfortunately, my response was met with attacks from individuals using homophobic and outdated language.
