My Dad (29 years of service through 3 wars) always told me that he never feared a military coup here because the one thing that is drummed in from basic training on is that the oath they take is to the Constitution and only the Constitution.

I do. I will say that was the hardest decision I ever made and I made the decision to take my Dad off life support. Taking Loki for the final ride to the vet was much, much harder, but it was the right thing. He let me know he was ready.

I called it his bracelet. My boy went over the bridge last year. His surgery was to confirm he had cancer. I had almost 3 years with him after his surgery. 💔

My boy would get the cone off in no time. I finally just put him in a shirt and that worked. As long as she can’t get to the stitches and lick or pull, my vet said it was good.

My daughter walks around the house carrying her computer when she is on calls/meetings. She gets about 15k steps a day.

Some things we can and some we can’t. The relative size (sq miles) makes reducing the number of cars difficult here. We could easily have a healthcare system similar and we could put some limitations on guns (per the Heller decision).

I’m so sorry. My Dad wasn’t a drinker, but he was physically and verbally abusive to me and my brother. It wasn’t until I was an adult and learned of his life growing up that I understood the why. I made it a point to break the cycle with my kids. I wasn’t 100% and made mistakes, but I tried.

That could be a sign of dementia or Alzheimer’s.

It shouldn’t matter what the kids read, just that they read. My son loved graphic novels (still does), but he read Jurassic Park at age 10 because he loved dinosaurs. He’s 43 now and is still a voracious reader. And he has a comic book collection that rivals some comic book stores.
