I think the reason men get upset about this is two-fold. First, the men that have a shredded physique are spending hundreds of dollars on drugs and hundreds of hours in the gym and kitchen to attain it. They’re also risking organ damage and a shorter life span. That feels worth it if it means (1/x)

The Sandford Duncan Inn in Franklin, KY, was the sight of a popular dueling ground. A lot of the appeal was the proximity to the state line, giving duelers a better chance to escape the law if things turned deadly. Sam Houston once won a duel there.
