Yeah, from a translation the Netflix dub is very literal of both spoken Japanese dialogue and the delivery of the lines. But I would say I prefer the ADV dub, as it emphasizes a more queer relationship with Kaworu and Shinji. And Asuka’s VA in the ADV dub also was able to deliver German lines too

I think “Which Eva dub is better?” Is one of the great battles of the eternally online weeb war. I like that Netflix went for more subtlety and loneliness in their dub, but the 90’s ADV dub really sells the characters for me.
