Only progressives can save the world. Conservatives won't make change because it may threaten their position and moderates know that change is needed but are scared of the backlash. If you want to improve anything you need to support progressives.

I was led to believe a third world country was one with a criminal President, a corrupt political system, a corrupt legal system, no health care, low wages, massive difference between the rich and the poor and many homeless. Did I just describe the USA?
