Because I suck at social media?

-laughs-

Forgive me, dear friend. ❤️

Yes. It's me! In a different wig. Lol.
Alice is my naughty baby.
April 20, 2025 at 10:21 PM
I rarely venture onto any social media these days. I'm considering stealing one of Alice's old burner phones and unplugging from the matrix before it's too late.

Hello, boy!
Alice is peeping over my shoulder and blowing you both a kiss.

Why do I love this so much?
We’re sick, dude. Sick! 😂
April 20, 2025 at 4:54 PM
No problem. I’m sure you’re a much more competent writer than I and don’t need my advice, but I like to support other creators.
April 20, 2025 at 4:47 PM
I misread that as ‘message’, so I tried to think of some words of encouragement.

Just do it. You always have the option to edit or delete.
I tend to just ramble and hope that something half decent can be salvaged from the mess.

Not very encouraging, I admit, but I hope it helps.

We are the ultimate problem solvers, individually and collectively.

So choose your weapon/tool and go figure.

that life is not meant to be shrunk, contained, or sanitised.

Life is messy and we need connection, love, support, and purpose.
We dream of being a part of something greater. For we are explorers, thinkers, designers, blessed with the gifts of creativity, expression, and communication.

But sometimes, someone will use the hammer to smash the algorithm and enlighten us with something that empowers.
The message is unique to each of us.
It resonates, touches us emotionally, inspires a call to action.

This is human creativity at its finest reminding us

The answers still evade us.
The more we know, the more we realise we don’t know.
We have so much potential in our search for meaning though we must admit we are not yet evolved enough to receive the unfolding of the mysteries of the universe, being so perfectly imperfect as we are.
April 20, 2025 at 4:24 PM
Why are we here?
What purpose do we serve?
What is the meaning of life?
April 20, 2025 at 4:20 PM
We have an abundance of information at our fingertips, and no idea what to do with it. ‘Facts’ and ‘Truths’ are interchangeable depending on the author. Eight billion people are jostling for attention.

And still we ask…
April 20, 2025 at 4:19 PM
So why in this era of plenty do so many feel so empty?

A lack of control in our own lives?

Conforming to someone else’s ideals of how we should live, think, and feel?

Relieving the boredom with mindless scrolling in a desperate attempt to fill the void?

And yet, as adaptable omnivorous hunter gatherers, our evolution was rapid. We explored, migrated, clothed ourselves, made tools, built shelters, communicated, shared knowledge, built communities.

We have the capability for horrific destruction but also for great compassion and empathy.
April 20, 2025 at 4:17 PM
like those first homosapiens a few hundred thousand years ago, utilising a rock as a hammer.

Should we really be giving hammers to toddlers?
April 20, 2025 at 4:16 PM
Our existence on Earth’s timeline is a blink of an eye, still in our infancy, having no particularly redeeming features; no special skills, attributes, or super powers…other than our innate curiosity and the creativity to realise ideas,
April 20, 2025 at 4:14 PM
All around us we can witness and appreciate the equilibrium, a well proportioned balance of reciprocal give and take. Order amongst the chaos. Predictable, like the changing of the seasons.

But as humans, we seem to not quite fit.
April 20, 2025 at 4:12 PM
They were born with the tools they needed. Surviving for millions of years.
Their design, perfect.

We are not perfect.
Not even close.

That though, is the beauty and potential of being human.
April 20, 2025 at 4:11 PM
Some of the simplest creatures on Earth have been around for over 250 million years.
Flies eat shit, lays eggs, speed up the process of decay. Spiders spin webs and keep the fly population under control. They don’t think about the process.
April 20, 2025 at 4:09 PM
But with so many ‘tools’ now at our disposal, are we at risk of losing critical thinking skills?
Is this the ‘use it or lose it’ chapter of our evolutionary history?
Are we, in fact, devolving?
April 20, 2025 at 4:07 PM
It’s our creativity that distinguishes us from the other species on this fine planet we find ourselves navigating.

Someone, somewhere, a long time ago, pounded something with a rock, eventually honing that invention into the perfect tool for the job.
