The steps from the downtown continue up to the Chiesa. The Chiesa is based in San Giacomo in Chiavari (Genoa), the façade is custom. The other side of the steps looking into a narrow Vico. Decided onto challenging myself and doing a build with a fake top floor (in progress) so I could properly recreate the SF Ferry Building. I also wanted to respect the Greek orders for once haha

I wish we had CAST so this building could be slate blue instead of all-white

I thought landscaping on the real-life school was interesting, kind of organic shrubland, which I tried to replicate

The school from above. The roofline is kind of funky and maybe McMansion-like but I kind of like it and it also kinda works? Maybe The sides are still unfinished and there's detail like windows, shades and vents I haven't placed yet. The other side of the school from above, showing utility equipment. Is it too much realism to have air conditioner units and propane gas tanks just to take up some space? Maybe but I liked the ACUs I cobbled together. The Attendance room with a window to the entrance. I did a lot of research (aka searched floor plans on ArchDaily & Dezeen) looking for what goes inside American high schools, and I'm still unsure what goes in this room (some have a Security room, but this is an alternate America with gun control so no need for that, nor metal detectors on the entrance) In Chile this would be the grounds inspector's office (think Prefects from Bully, but adults) The school cafeteria's kitchen, now with proper commercial dishwashers and stainless steel everything. The school I referenced this from had this drywall-type walls in basically this exact same cream beige color, and brushed concrete floor (In the game I'm using GF sound panels and a rubber floor from ACNH I think).

I have these in my high school build but it irks me that they are from real brands, so I was gonna turn the GTA ones into Simlish

I wanted this school to feel a little dated but still contemporary (& mostly clean), the schools I've based this on are from the late 00s, which is quite nostalgic for me even though the only thing in common with my school is the aughts postmodern massing

The Classic All-American Hallway™ A classroom prototype. I've found suprisingly few reference pics of these. The basketball field on the opposite wing to the pool. The exterior once again. Still mostly unfinished, I noticed this pattern in Seattle schools of these gigantic, sort of zig-zaging metal roofs, esp if built after 2000.

Hey! Long time no see...
I haven't open Sims 4 in a long time, but here's a bit of something I've been building for years now, a HSY high school based on one in a Seattle suburb

The exterior is based on Mount Rainier High School in Des Moines, WA. Recolored one of ScodeeYodee marquees with some better textures and loosely based it on the MRHS marquee The school library above the entrance. The interior is supposed to evoke some 2000s feel. The school cafeteria which I've been remodeling now (it was one storey to keep the exterior massing close to the reference but it felt cramped) The school pool on one of the wings of the building.

Completing more some city center blocks in La Serena
PO every corner building to fit the rhombus-shaped blocks it's always an ordeal, but I think I'm getting better at it.

Now that I'm getting the hang of PO, I'm redoing a few areas with some assets that I think were better fits but they were too big or the wrong way, like this Mexican church that is very long and the tower is on the left, but the facade is spot on, and around the same age (from the mid 1600s). The junction of Balmaceda & Prat. Apartment building on the right is currently a 3-storey commercial building. La Serena's main streets, Gregorio Cordovez & Presidente José Manuel Balmaceda Plaza de Armas at Los Carrera & Arturo Prat *Timmy's Dad voice* And this is where I'd put my city hall, if I had one! I haven't found anything remotely similar to Frankenstein it in PO. Seriously considering commissioning it but I bet it's gonna be crazy expensive.

The junction of Benavente & Anfión Muñoz, now with trees, missing planters, some bushes, paths (that I'll probably PO to save on limits). Originally just a mining school, it expanded during the UTE period to include topography, mechanical engineering & civil engineering. The DGAE (Student Affairs Board, + a bunch of administrative offices so I made this the Campus Admin to make it functional) building which also houses the library and the School of Engineering behind. Thank you whoever did C:S Campus service blocks. The student union (FEULS) on the facade of Juan de Dios de Pení St. Inside the Isabel Bongard campus. Situated next to the Ignacio Domeyko Campus, it also belongs to the ULS. This campus focuses on education & design. Formerly the La Serena National School of Preceptors (a school for teaching), was briefly part of the Universidad de Chile in La Serena before it was merged with the UTE in La Serena by the Pinochet dictatorship.
