I didn't actually get to draw caustics in this chapter since that's a Shallow Water visual effect, but I decided to figure out how they worked anyway

I've been multitasking between polishing the art for Chapter 5 and making stuff for the print release of Volume 2 next year so IT'S GOING I PROMISE and in the meantime here's the brainstorming sketches from back when I was working out the volume 1 cover design
The sketch of the final cover design. It's bisected laterally by Vash's sword. On the left half is the Collector and a horde of chimeras. On the right, from bottom to top, are Alinua, Erin and Falst. In the center, holding the sword, is the split figure of both Vash and Kendal. my favorite part about this chapter is how many references I got to pull from that time we went to Iceland
