Vctrs is allowed to be serious just like its allowed to be fun and silly. Hell, thats where the episodic nature of the show works so well. I WANT to see the characters get in batshit adventures, just like I WANT to see them have big conversations with eachother... and its a shame that they never did

whats funny about beck trying to pressure jade when shes saying no to him? etc etc. if the show writers THEMSELVES are going to put those types of things into the show they shouldnt be writing it in a way that downplays these incredibly important and sensitive topics... And yet, they do! (7)

Whats funny about Andres girlfriend constantly kissing him despite him being uncomfortable and upset with it? Whats funny about tori having conflicting feelings bc she was lied to in a relationship she cared about? Whats funny about beck trying to hit on her whenever shes vulnerable with him? (6)

and like im not saying vctrs has to be this deep media or some shit, but if the show is going to show our characters being harassed, assaulted, manipulated, prayed upon, etc it cant do it in a way that makes these things come off as "funny". (5)

implying to the audience that the things happening to the character isnt ACTUALLY serious, even in situations where they are portraying her in toxic, manipulative situations as a victim. People cant see her for the victim she is bc the show is too scared to acknowledge that she is (4)

as the in-show characters. I think thats why so many people hate tori for example - we constantly see tori put in harmful situations and relationships (danny, steven, ryder, mason, beck, etc) however the scenes both around the relationships AND showcasing them will have a "fun" tone to them (3)

constantly had the characters go through traumatic, stressful, harmful things; the mix of themes and tones resulting in moments where characters fears, traumas, experiences, emotions etc are mocked, made fun of, ignored, etc and it ends up causing the viewer themselves to react the same way- (2)

The episodes were fun dont get me wrong but not a lot has really happened in them? Lack of fright feats, the big personalities have left, we still havent done the monsters of rock, etc etc.. I think i just was expecting more and kinda disappointed myself if anything LMAO
