Sadly not much of a choice realistically. It's directly connected to the convention center.

Ive been in contact with them, and they are doing what they can, but Marriott is not cooperating from what I was last told.

With this being the case, I do not feel comfortable or safe staying at a property where there is 0 accountability for the staff. It only leads to the question of what happens in the rooms when staff are cleaning them? If they are bold enough to record a private, 18+ event, who knows what else.

In that venue, during a private, restricted access event, there is a reasonable expectation of privacy. I am hopeful to hear back, but I am exceedingly concerned about the lack of response or communication that has come from the Marriott.

This is a massive violation of my privacy, as well as everyone else around. It puts my job at risk, if that video or those pictures were to be posted, and also violates California Penal Code 632 as California is a two-party consent state.

Three members of the Marriott staff peeked in from one of the staff only entrances and began recording me directly, waving and harassing me while taking photos and videos. After noticing I went directly to Con Ops and reported the event. Last I have heard from them, the Marriott has not responded.

This was a strictly 18+ part of the event, and had strict rules restricting the usage of all video/camera and recording. This event took place on the second floor of the Marriott hotel, away from general prying eyes with strict access. There was a massive violation of this however.
