My teammate has some really awesome character art so far! I'd love to share it but I don't want it to seem like I'm taking credit 😅 Guess you'll just have to see when we publish the game :)

I'm still working on nailing down the art style, this is some of my progress so far (adding style over blockouts). We want a soft hand-painted/watercolor feel with lots of texture. I'm liking this brush for the outlines, it gives more of a 'fantasy sketch' feeling to me. Still workshopping :)

This is some concept art/wire-framing for the character interactions

The concept art I showed relates more to the second idea, but with a darker art style.

This is a different prototype of the visuals that I just made. More like Celtic fantasy, maybe even a bit Ghibli-inspired. The incremental actions (I don't have a better term for it yet) would be cast like incantations on a stone altar. You could bind a spirit to the incantation to make it repeat.

This is some basic prototyping and shader animation for interaction (my initial idea, which would take a bit of inspiration from the visuals in Cult of the Lamb). If anyone wants to know more about these shaders, let me know! They were fun to make and the code is pretty simple.

I thought I'd post some concept material for an indie game I'm working on with the working title 'Close to Twilight'. The game centers around a magical ship called La Mare De La Lune, which sails on a journey through the stars. More updates to come on this and other projects :)

The interaction sound is a bit jarring. It looks awesome, though :) Is it a tech demo or for a game?
