The 5-10-15 principle feels similar to the infrastructure of Brasilia in Brazil. The city was meant to have neighborhoods with everything a person might need in walking distance, but this eventually led to the city's failure as people like to get out of their allocated areas from time to time.

If California is already developed and they are adding a new city, who is sponsoring the project and who is letting it happen? Did they buy land from a private investor? I wonder too if there were people originally living in the area considering it is already developed. Were they displaced?

I wonder too how they are going to avoid flooding. Especially if they set up sand to make an artificial island, would that not then make it more susceptible to flooding? The name of the city is also really interesting. I wonder what the inspiration was for that and the driving aesthetic of the city.
