We should ignore him in the hope that with his contracts cancelled, he can go focus on whatever nonsense he was working on before and he fades to obscurity

Thank you. I keep saying this and I feel like I’m speaking into a void. The GOP didn’t feel the work requirements were harsh enough- despite this bill and the new proposed final rule. Awful for Medicaid-recipients and their loved ones

Sounds like they don’t get 70/week or 280/month means to most families. On top of the dodger in chief being out of touch, it’s not helping

Jared - just tell us you don’t believe in free, fair, and open election cycles. A vote for this is what you’ve said. Will you be paying for everyone to have a passport or ensure they get birth certificates and marriage licenses? I suspect no. This disproportionately impacts women, why???

Of all the stories they need to cover, this is it? Le sigh

He sounds desperate - like he was told don’t come home without it

This is a good start, but it doesn’t put any responsibility on those who sat this one out or voted third party - and those folks are just as much to blame IMHO.

Not every state. I have worked with 5 different states for Medicaid, CHIP, and ACA. The requirements vary from state to state and with IDD , you may not have to meet them. Red states tend to favor these requirements over blue.

Okay and 92% of recipients are already working and there are annual renewal requirements to continue service. Many states also have a grace period to allow recipients time to do the necessary - what you’re stating isn’t as common as you think.

The lies they are spreading about Medicaid are so infuriating
February 27, 2025 at 8:00 PM
Most Medicaid recipients who can work are already… this is an invented issue by the GOP

Would love to see you work with the AltGov team

With love, we need more than a memo that doesn’t have any teeth. Stop showing up for votes, skip the SOTU, start holding more protests, get on every news channel to decry the imbalance of powers. Get the gang of 8 together and demand answers. Where are the articles of impeachment?

Sorry, hard disagree here. AI is great for surface knowledge but it’s often wrong and more often requires humans to fact check and challenge it. You have to invest time to train it, that gets in the way of doing the work.

Loosely translated: I, as a privileged white man,
Value my access to the dictatorship in the making over being truthful to my readers. I cannot do anything that jeopardizes my access. So disappointing.

Aja - please reconsider your stance on the Gulf of Mexico executive order. We need independent journalism that will hold fast against false narratives and seek to gaslight Americans.
February 15, 2025 at 12:28 PM
You got our attention but you broke our trust. The Gulf of Mexico cannot be renamed by executive order. I’m so sad to see you cave on this.

Meanwhile, she’s crying about Alaskan federal workers losing their job - because she voted for this. Awful
