I’ve been struggling with feeling powerless, like living my best little queer joy life is more an act of privilege than resistance. So I decided to use a bit of that privilege to start monthly donations to NPR and the ACLU. Not huge, but so many of the things that make a difference never are.

Aperol spritzed my way into Auckland, had an epic lobster roll and black pepper squid at the fish market, and soaked up some local culture with the Black Knights. And I managed to stay awake all day! Thank you all for the words of encouragement during my travel woes. Oh, and #transpeoplewontbeerased
