Also, confidence is important, but remember there is always more to learn and more than one way to do things. You need to be open to hearing others points of view.

Unfortunately this attitude isn't uncommon lately, but I think it's an important reminder that if you are trying to make a name for yourself in a genre, talking down to other people in that genre, or acting like you know everything there is to know, won't get you far.
