TIL the Icelandic version of Dracula, pub. circa 1901 was actually rewritten by the translator. Nobody realized this until 2014. Icelanders just thought it was Dracula, nobody outside of Iceland ever really read it. Available in English as "Powers of Darkness" now.

When I was young I took pride in finishing every book I started, even if I didn’t like it. Now, I recognize every moment spend with a book I don’t enjoy is a wasted moment that I could have spent with a book that speaks to me. There's too many beautiful books out there that need my attention.

I know exactly how many chickens I have. It's 25 because that's what my zoning allows. But you probably shouldn't count them. Also, I want a incubator that holds 56 eggs for next hatching season...
