A struggling potted mint plant. It's is about a dozen twigs sticking up from the dirt with a couple of tiny green leaves poking out from the ends if them. Not one leaf is longer than 5mm on its longest axis. There is a happy little ceramic turtle in the pot trying to lift our spirits

The first two chapters of this book, detailing the history of algae, are way more interesting then they have any right to be. Very much enjoying this book.
