The other day I rescued a dragonfly that had flipped upside down on the lake. He perched on my hand for a good 10 minutes while he dried out, cleaning his face and testing out his wings. He finally flew off! Yesterday, this gal hung out on my hat for a good long while! Mutual gratitude!

Minnesota summer lake life is about as good as it gets! The skies are filled with soaring eagles and loon songs echo across the calm water. The forest is full of healing herbs at the perfect point for harvest. On this solstice eve I am grateful to the Ojibwe Nation for sharing this sacred land.
