Agreed. We need to improve education/critical thinking skills. But the Dem Party is failing to connect its base under 60. The party is being run by people from the Reagan to Clinton eras, and it's clear they are not up to the task in the modern era with its different tools and (unfortunately) norms.

I mean, I know about WWII, but I don't remember stories that were probably generational touchstones about it because it was my grandparents' war.

I wish Democrats would find examples that weren't 60+ years old. Do sub-30 people know enough about McCain's POW story to understand the analogy? Are they going to care enough to Google it? Vietnam was their grandparents' war. This is a big gerontocracy issue.

As a person who was raised evangelical, along with all of the end times (and other) trauma that comes with it, it blows my MIND that all of these born-again, evangelical, MAGA people aren't getting the funny little "uh-oh" feeling in their tummies. I mean COME ON.

Our little dog would do this to get the older/bigger dog out of his bed so she could steal it. It took MONTHS for the older dog to catch on. Gurtie is probably one of the smartest dogs I've met, and she uses it primarily for evil, but she's such a good snuggle buddy that she gets away with A LOT.

I'm afraid of flying because I don't understand how it possibly works, but I was okish with the idea that I'm not smart enough to understand, and using that as my security thought. But now knowing no one does...guess I'll be adding another drink or an Xanax to my pre-flight ritual.

Welp. Looks like it's time to do a rewatch with a mind toward the geopolitical situation in more detail. Granted, normally my mind is just going...goddamn everyone is hot, so very hot, and I want a partner like Wash.

This is my question also. I went to Google, thinking there might be a different meaning for "Brown Coat" than the one from Firefly/Serenity. Didn't see anything; however, I did find an interesting Reddit post about whether Mal/Brown Coats were the good guys or bad guys.
