3/ esp the house taxes, and we have gone to no-meat/fish 2-3 days a week. He was shocked to hear what our health and drug deductibles are now (guesses were in the 20% range of reality) and that our backup acct is only 2/3 of what it was. So he is coming to the conclusion that perhaps this 🧵

2/ premiums, credit cards, med/dental vet bills, home maintenance and repair, and utilities; these are ALL up, in some cases substantially. He pays the taxes, the car pmts, the long-term care insurance, and buys the groceries; all except groceries are fairly stable or expected to rise 🧵

I have just had a long discussion with my longstanding old-style R spouse (yes, a mixed marriage, though at least he’s not a Yankees fan) about his belief that the economy isn’t all that bad and we’re ok. We each pay some bills, but I tend to pay the ones that are rising, like health insurance 🧵
