I stopped watching the Oscars years ago. Too long and too boring. Mostly it's an opportunity for the vain to preen and look at each other. The biggest reason to avoid it is there aren't that many great movies. I remember years with so many great pictures, I couldn't pick a winner. No longer true

I can't watch. I have enough trouble reading about these hearings. I am unsettled by what is happening but I know I have to keep my feet under me and my wits about me and avoiding TV helps. The only thing I am sure of is that those who oppose Trump must stay awake, stay aware and stick together.

It is important to talk about why the Democrats lost. There must be a new strategy if they are to win going forward.
