Soon after release of Alien, the shocked silence in the theater was broken by someone yelling "it's a rabid tapeworm!" which cracked up the entire theater and ruined the horror

Old school British kids show The Clangers. They're pink & stop-motion and knitted. They live on their own tiny planet and treat visiting aliens w/kindness. And their 'speech' is made by slide whistle so you don't even have to deal w/words

He may certainly consider himself the sane center. During the '24 election we Bucks county registered Ds got mailings from, I assume, his campaign, telling us he was the most bipartisan member of Congress and we could safely split our votes between him and Harris.

25 yrs in early childhood ed. here. It's completely normal. Being still after being very busy, with (lots of) people they're comfortable with, being quietly engaged in the same activity which takes a long time, . . . combination of tiredness and the confidence/safety to relax.
