Old school British kids show The Clangers. They're pink & stop-motion and knitted. They live on their own tiny planet and treat visiting aliens w/kindness. And their 'speech' is made by slide whistle so you don't even have to deal w/words

He may certainly consider himself the sane center. During the '24 election we Bucks county registered Ds got mailings from, I assume, his campaign, telling us he was the most bipartisan member of Congress and we could safely split our votes between him and Harris.

This, I imagine, is the child who, long ago on the 'other place,' was the cause of probably my favorite linked posts ever by a parent, when you posted first your wife's call for help, and then immediately your explanation that the diaper involved was your infant's.

25 yrs in early childhood ed. here. It's completely normal. Being still after being very busy, with (lots of) people they're comfortable with, being quietly engaged in the same activity which takes a long time, . . . combination of tiredness and the confidence/safety to relax.

thanks for the delay. I only got to the semi-final last Thursday -- but I will get to the final today -- though there really isn;t any suspense, or drive to watch it, because it seems pretty clear who it will be.
