I keep waiting for someone to intercede and stop this, fix this, do anything to prevent us from careening into an abyss...

But I'm realizing... No one is there. No one is coming. We're on our own. And so divided we're infighting instead of uniting. Snarling at our allies and demanding them to act.

I'm grieving something as it dies, gasping it's last breath of air. Waiting to be shipped to a camp or to be reeducated to be a proper trad wife who is seen and not heard or to be assigned to a new partner and watch my own die fighting to protect me.

I'm so afraid. And so ashamed.

It feels like someone smothered hope. Killed dreams. It feels like our government was bought like a cheap find in the clearance aisle.

And we're here screaming at each other, trying to understand why nothing is happening faster, why nothing is changing.....

The villains have all the power now.

I was so confident as I bubbled in my votes on that card that "The People™️" couldn't possibly do this to the rest of us...

And now my loved ones are in danger and I'm afraid for the future. And I feel paralyzed, like even what I'm doing isn't nearly enough to help the causes.

Everyone is so angry.

And I feel like our founding fathers as racist and sexist as many of them may have been, would have 100% been just as ashamed as I am.

Everything people have died for to uphold is being burned to the ground and all most of us can do is protest and watch.

MANY of us voted and went unheard.
