Concerning human language usage, Paul's instruction to 'bless and do not curse' (Rm 12.14) can be for us a mere aphorism that we appreciate rather than a leash on our language. What is said matters. Even what we say silently in the confines of heart and mind. 'Bless and do not curse.'

'such is the power of truth that it defends itself. . .with its own clarity' (Div. Inst. 3.1).

L. C. F. Lactantius, early apologist and advisor to Constantine.

It is quite possible to fail to appreciate that the followers of Jesus are worshipers of a God who has revealed himself to be a man and that therefore human being is as essential to the nature of God as is divinity and divine power.

Someone asked, 'What is faith?'

'Inner reliance on 'evidence of things not seen' (cf. Hb 11.1). Like when you know Somebody loves you no matter what.'

Is not Paul's 'forgive any complaint you may have against someone else' in Colossians a seminal principle of ecclesiastical ethics as well?

An Argument for the Eastern Orthodox Church's Theology of Icons Being at Least not Entirely True
If it is impossible for the Orthodox Church to deceive or be deceived, then the Orthodox Church is infallible.

Before Nicaea 787 was accepted, there was not an ecclesiastical mandate for making and venerating icons.

One always has to do something with oneself. Two options are always to hand. If one has been raised with Christ, then there is freedom to either comfort oneself in sin (as Judas did) or strengthen oneself in the Lord (as David did).

Perhaps there is something wrong if reading Proverbs does not give one reason to think him/herself a fool.

A recent study has suggested that the brain emits light through the cranium. This brings new content to what is meant by an enlightened mind. It is interesting but should not be in any way surprising.
