New cars, hybrids, even EVs must be serviced at the dealer. The cars are too complex to take to Jiffy or Monkey and only a dealer can be held accountable. The problem then is that dealers don't pay technicians enough, and trained technicians can't be found.

That's a good start to the indictment. I could write pages for my doctoral dissertation, going deeper, down through the layers of evil, slavery, misogyny, murder; but I'm busy now with trying to recover from the psychological damage, the way the society made me feel it was all my fault.

Very sad. 40,000 traffic fatalities every year in the US since the 50s but still no alternatives to autos and traffic. Every one of those numbers was a tragedy. Japan has had high speed rail transport for 60 years.

My guitar is most important to me. It sings to me and I sing with it. I have both guitars together and a purse on top with wallet, cash, car keys at night in case of the big one I'm out the door with what really matters.
