It should be, but as a result of over-prescribing it has at times been difficult for diabetics to get. My wife was prescribed Manjouro for her type 2 diabetes and three times had to go without due to a nationwide shortage. Most serious potential side effect is malabsorption due to peristalsis

They certainly are, but these were popularized by celebrities and tiktok as weight loss drugs, which in turn makes it difficult for diabetics to get the medications they need. A large portion of the people taking these drugs simply don't need them and disregard long term side effects.
