The original Deus Ex makes a point to mention how humanity loves being told what to do. And how algorithms tell you what to think. This very thing we saw echoed in the Twitter takeover and how its algorithm was used to push disinformation.

Overall, a series worth the play.
The story is also startlingly erudite – sometimes to the point of dorkiness. "The need to be observed and understood was once satisfied by God. Now we can implement the same functionality with data-mining algorithms," a rogue AI tells you. "Corporations are so big, you don't even know who you're working for. That's terror," says a terrorist leader with your gun to his head.

⛔ Over the years, I've made a lot of really, really stupid #DeusEx memes. Many are inside jokes. Some are not. Others I made for the sake of the community having weird shit for fun.

⛔ I'm an avid fan of alternate universe versions of canon characters. I have a Deus Ex AU where every character is a mythological creature of some sort.

Adam is a harpy. I forget if he's a crow or a raven, but he's one of them. This is actually one of my favorite pieces I've done.

⛔Ivan Berk is one of my favorite #DeusEx characters. I could go on an incredibly long rant about how asinine of a decision it was for them to can him after featuring him in the promo material, but I have a feeling the people actually responsible for game development were never to blame.
