We will get through this though. We've survived fascism before and we will do it again.

I think the "far left" and the "near left" generally want similar things, i.e. a safe and comfortable life for all people. I just think we're at a point where we can't rely on our existing framework to provide that anymore. We need to build alternative systems.

What's considered "far" is relative, right? So it's hard to define. But I think there's a divide between those who say "this is a mess we can escape with our existing framework of laws, political parties, legal precedent, etc.", and those who say "those things are going to prevent us from escaping".
