So what’s the fix?
The biggest, nastiest cutting wheel and angle grinder you can find.
Hack off the hats on the rear brake discs, completely gut the parking brake system, and then unplug the parking brake controller so the car doesn’t still think the brake is forever engaged.

So you’d think there’s an emergency release right?
There is - it of course didn’t work in this case. Not sure why, but I have a feeling this was not the first time this car has had this happen.
You can of course loosen the brake shoes manually… but not with the brake holding the rotors on

Made it out to a HPDE (driver education) day with the local Porsche club here
Having an experienced instructor in the passenger seat every session makes a HUGE difference for learning a new track. Highly recommend doing so if you ever get the chance!
