She goes quiet for a moment, gazing at the frosty ground then back up at Basil.

"...pretty cool flower you found here. They grow in the winter, don't they?"

The lady is just about to scram home back to her apartment when she spots Basil on the shiny snow-covered ground. She freezes in place.
