That is very well said. Hard to put this dynamic / tactic into words effectively.

Shuffling all dissent into an -ism instantly robs everyone participating of nuance.

It’s the big conspiracy to make sure that only large media market teams win the title but with reverse psychology. It’s very complex and advanced conspiracying

A French coach in the Scottish league slightly tweaking the tactical role of a fringe US national team center back’s role draws a “strap in”

This is real sicko shit and I’m frankly impressed.

This debate was settled the moment this photo was published tbh

It’s been real bad. At what point does Hawkins become an option?

Kids in car seats and / or pets in the car is the only acceptable reason.

Else I assume you hate your home life and are finding reasons to elongate your errands.

Ugh it’s a scourge. I hate everything about it.

Been watching Concacaf football for 6 cycles and never seen it handled so effectively.
November 14, 2025 at 4:14 AM
I’ve never seen a ref so successfully kibash time wasting tactics as the guy for Guatemala v Panama. Every other Concacaf official needs to watch that and learn.

Barked at 3 Panamanian players to get up when they faked injury, gave a quick yellow to a guy slow walking a throw in, and that was that.

I love the USMNT, always have always will.

Lots of terminally online fans organize their entire identities around being virulently anti everything. Not enough normies feel like jumping into the mud to drown them out.

Same dynamic holds in politics w/ democrats.

(If you can’t tell, I’m constantly trying to avoid the trap but it’s hard!)
November 13, 2025 at 10:09 PM
I guess sometimes it’s impossible to avoid. Many English words have been overused by corporations but they didn’t go invent other words to take their place. So your choice is sound like a third grader, or use way too many words to talk “around” the forbidden corporate word
November 13, 2025 at 10:08 PM
No fair calling out “corporate speak” without proposing better words they should have used instead.

This isn’t a “moment” - there’s not even a rumor of a signing here it’s just a polite answer to a hypothetical question

Even better, the slide across the locker room floor directly under the bench where someone is sitting naked on his towel.

Wait what is e-drama? I’m not in The Discourse anymore so I lose track.

Then while out of power, they will use the same qualities that make them terrible at governing (lack of fidelity to the truth or any institution at all) to vilify us. Then they win and the cycle starts again.

Real ones know (Cozmo is in this instance a real one)
November 4, 2025 at 11:51 PM
Important players came up with terrible gaffes. Desler, Hines-Ike, Svatok. We are not winning in the playoffs with them having shockers.
November 3, 2025 at 4:48 AM
Yeah and whether it was a “dive” …or he tripped ….or truly fell from the force of the contact isn’t part of the calculation. How the player reacts to the contact shouldn’t be a part of the decision. Contact was obvious and impacted the play.
