Cute. Here’s my take. There is no part of the world that is not “the world.” If the world hurts you, you need to work on not internalizing so much! Some things in the world need to change, sure, but focus on what you can control—you & where you get your validation. You can’t seek it from the world.

My 16-year-old had the same notion after reading not only LOTR but The Silmarillion. She’s been trying to read Gormenghast for at least two years.

“Fold laundry” is cracking me up because I just told my mastermind group (of mostly developmental editors) that this copyeditor is such a fan of @bcdreyer.social that I would probably sign up to watch him do laundry. 😂
