I hear there's an exodus from other social media platforms over to this one.

A safe haven, perhaps? We shall see.

To @bsky.app I present to you a quote from the irreverent RuPaul: 'Don't Fuck it Up'

How does one keep up with social media's craving for immediacy?

I find it hard to generate content on a regular basis that I want people to know about. My thoughts are - far and away - never about the virality of what I post.

Am I the only one that thinks like this?

Working in a Public Service position, I sometimes forget that I work with *every* aspect of the greater Public.

What do you all like to read? I have a plethora of preferred genres, but right now I'm into Kim Harrison's 'Hollows' series, published by HarperCollins.

Described as urban fantasy (gritty Cincinnati, Ohio with its fair share of werewolves, vampires, and Elves), it's pure, unadulterated fluff.

FAFO, Republicans. Issue 1 went down handily.

As of 3:00p.m. (EST), this is the voter turnout for the special election around State Issue 1.

I can't begin to tell you how excited I am to see this kind of voter representation! Yes, Ohio voters!

Now, if only we could have this type of turnout in subsequent elections...

EVERY. VOTE. COUNTS.

Today is the day, Ohioans!

Only one thing to vote for, and it's an important one. I'm highly recommending that you vote NO on Issue 1 which will continue to allow citizen-led ballot initiatives and maintain the most basic right of Constitutional majority rule.

EVERY. VOTE. COUNTS.

What's everyone listening to this morning?

I have certain genes on rotation depending on what time of day it is. For instance, current pop/dance music to start the day, yacht rock on the drive to/from work, and Bossa Nova or Latin sounds on the weekends.

For those that are looking for something a bit nonsensical (or totally lacking in major substance, let's be honest) for their afternoon listening, I'm truly enjoying listening to Delta Work's podcast 'Very Delta' http://bit.ly/VeryDelta I'll let you judge for yourself.

I don't know how I could've botched my profile display like I did, but out of all the things I love on this hellish landscape we call Earth it's cats. My husband and I have six of them, all seniors, and we're *officially* at cat-pacity. Photos to follow.

I was shocked to hear that Cuyahoga County's Board of Elections is closed today (Monday, 8/7) - the day before our special election. Early and in-person voting is a necessary right for all. Shame on our Republican-controlled legislature for this abuse of power! Polls open at 6:30a.m. on 8/8! VOTE!
