Self produced media gets to avoid most checks and balances, and if you're immoral enough to say anything that earns you the most money.
On the other hand I have way more respect for people who keep themselves accountable to accuracy and understanding as if they have an entire team behind them.

It's tech CEOs all the way down. It's funny because when we did projects like these in my engineering college days, it was almost always pitched as a convenience or even an assistive thing to go alongside the current system.
