🙌🏼 “I was completely cleared” is hugely misleading. The Monterey PD did refer the case to the DA’s Office who declined to file charges. As a criminal prosecutor, I decline to file charges for a variety of reasons. I’m still relatively new, but I’ve yet to “completely clear” any of my >400 defendants.
