Courtroom to cobblestone — always looking for meaning in the journey. ⚖️🏛️🌍
Ortigas has become a hotspot for Mainland Chinese scam operations. Almost every time I enter the area, mobile network coverage starts acting up, followed by a flood of scam text messages spoofing Smart, Globe, and BDO. It’s suspiciously consistent, and it’s becoming a serious security concern.

Iran’s recent actions, including attacks on US military bases in Qatar and Iraq, are likely to have severe consequences. By targeting these bases, Iran is not only escalating tensions with the US but also violating the sovereignty of Qatar and Iraq.

In this ongoing war, a decisive full-scale conflict with a clear outcome is better than a prolonged one filled with alternating good and bad news. A full-on war may cause a sharp, one-time market dip, but drawn-out conflicts trigger repeated declines that can be even more damaging over time.

Oil markets reopened just a few hours ago, and the initial surge in prices has been almost entirely erased. Prices are currently up only about 0.5% to 1% following the U.S. airstrike on Iran. Still, the situation remains fluid, tensions may escalate or de-escalate at any time.

Strava? I mainly use it for the Beacon feature. I send it to my partner whenever I walk home from work to the condo. It’s really just for safety. I know there’s Find My and Apple’s location sharing, but those are kinda slow sometimes. Strava just updates faster, so I stick with it.

I travel while I’m young, while my feet still chase sunrises, my heart leaps at the unfamiliar, and my soul craves stories only the road can tell. The world feels vast, and I feel more alive in every mile. 🌴 #travel #aklan #antique

I’ll be back to hiking in a month or two. I’ve realized I’ve been working long hours and neglecting my health for far too long. It’s time to rebuild my strength and endurance, and hopefully, discover more beautiful places along the way. Mount Guiting-Guiting is my goal three years from now.

“I would rather have a government run like hell by Filipinos than a government run like heaven by Americans.”

Well, Manuel Quezon’s wish was granted. 😅

When reading the news, do not stop at the headlines. Take time to read the full article, and, if it is part of a developing story, read and follow the entire series to understand the full context and progression.

The sun sets slowly in El Nido, casting gold over the water and turning the cliffs into shadows. I just stand there, quiet, because no photo could ever do it justice. #elnido #palawan #travel

I’m just a few provinces away from completing my visits to all the provinces in Luzon and the Visayas—maybe in three years’ time. I have yet to set foot in Mindanao, but Siargao or Sultan Kudarat is at the top of my list. #travel #philippines

Sunset in Cuyo burns in shades of orange and red—no filters, no fuss, just the sky on fire, the sea catching every glow, and the world holding its breath for a moment. 🌅 #cuyo #palawan #travel

The boats form a near-perfect diagonal line across the turquoise water—like nature’s own minimalist artwork. Symmetry, serenity, and sea. ⛵️ #droneshots #palawan #travel

A small boat drifts quietly in the middle of the Sulu Sea, surrounded by nothing but turquoise waters and the hush of the horizon. It’s the kind of stillness that makes you forget the world exists. ⛵️ #cuyo #palawan #travel

We returned to an islet just ten minutes away from the island where my mother was born. It is registered under my grandparents’ names.

My mother shared that back in the 1960s and 70s, they used to visit this place to grow crops, swim, and that they even built a house. 🏝️ #cuyo #palawan #travel

A new troll tactic is spreading. They pose as Kakampinks to argue against Duterte’s ICC accountability. They exploit Filipino values to push for impunity. They use emotional appeals to muddy the waters. Do not be deceived. Justice is not cruelty. Accountability is non-negotiable.

Philippine politics is like a predictable drama—yet we still watch, we find amusement in it, even when in fact, the joke is on us.

The plane should depart as soon as possible. The administration cannot afford to wait another day, as circumstances may change by then.

It is a very desperate move for Duterte’s lawyers to go to the Supreme Court at 9PM, expecting court employees to provide a copy of a nonexistent order when the petition was only filed at 4:27PM. According to the Supreme Court’s public statement, the petition had merely been raffled.
Perhaps his lawyers believed that filing a petition with local courts was necessary to enforce the ICC warrant. But that is not how it works. Maybe they assumed there was still time and that they could find ways to delay its service. We will never know the reason unless it comes directly from them.
Duterte’s lawyers are at the Supreme Court this 9PM after filing the petition this afternoon. However, they cannot expect an order to be issued just hours after submission, regardless of its urgency. By 5PM or 6PM, the Justices and court employees are already out and on their way home.
