Interesting tidbit from the NYT profile on attendees at last night’s soirée of MBS (B is for “Bonesaw”), in light of Apple’s decision to knuckle under to pressure from the administration to remove ICE Block—an app that tracks the movements of ICE agents in our neighborhoods—from its App Store.

In discussing Apple CEO Tim Cook, the blurb noted: “The company has faced some blowback for hosting a Saudi app that allows men to track movements of their wives and daughters.” 😳 Per the article, the app is still available in the App Store today. Meanwhile, a few months ago, Apple promptly pulled ICE Block from the App Store shortly after it was released after the administration groused, claiming, in an epic display of gaslighting, that the app posed a threat to the physical safety of ICE agents. ICE Block uses crowdsourcing (à la Waze) to alert people to the presence of ICE and immigration stormtroopers in their neighborhood. For those keeping score: Apps that allow Saudi men to subjugate the women in their lives by tracking their movements? 👍 Apps that help keep neighborhoods safer from fascist goon squads by “tracking” the movements of ICE agents? 👎 Notably, the Saudi wife tracker app presumably uses surveillance technology to function, while ICE Block functions more like a group chat with a built-in map—it’s just people sharing their observations with each other to stop abductions by armed, masked thugs. Cook is a disgrace and a collaborator.

A credible opposition party would make this fascist ass clown the public face of this administration—make it known far and wide that *this* is the true face of MAGA—and in the process, neutralize him by suggesting that he, not Trump, runs the show.

Difficult to imagine a bigger waste of “prominent democrats’” time, apart from them literally trying to shove their heads up their asses. Perhaps we need a fresh crop of prominent democrats, like ones whose impassioned debates are about thwarting the plans of the authoritarian menace in the Oval.
