Came here to say this. Something like Rent, which is sung completely through would be an opera. Buy if that makes someone uncomfortable they can always just call it a “rock opera.”

At opening ceremonies there were jokes about needing to have a song to sing during the long walk. I’m surprised they didn’t use that time for the Down the Hugos road sing along.

I remember back when Jack Conte made such a big deal about artists having instrument sounds in their videos without actually showing themselves making the sounds.

I’m conflicted, because I would have gladly attended a *two hour* solo presentation and enjoyed the information presented.
But I went into a “panel discussion” hoping for more panel discussion. You all did great with the limited time given.
