Absolutely, Stapelia gigantea. Part of the nearby planting from years ago which I misidentified as a Euphorbia flanaganii years ago.

Yea, a lot of kalanchoes prefer zone 10 (30-40 deg minimum) and above. The fedtschenkoi is one that handles temp dips into mid and upper 20s and has proven to thrive even with an occasional light freeze
