TTRPGs not Troy’s. Stupid autocorrect.

I dislike horror movies, especially jump scare type horror movies, but for Troy’s I’m all about urban fantasy blended with horror elements and lovecraftian themes.

I haven't actually played Savage Rifts yet, it's on my list. I loved Palladium Rifts and Macross back in high school but I also remember it being an entirely frustrating system to play. haha

Outside DnD (which I do enjoy, 5E is a decent system and Dragonlance is my first love) I tend to favour Savage Worlds. I enjoy its simplicity and I can make it work for almost any idea. I want to explore WoD settings more but more for the setting/lore than the system, on a big Urban Fantasy kick.

I haven’t played a lot of Cypher but I have fond memories of the few times I did. It was the favourite system of a good buddy at my previous posting (military).

Which begs the question, what ttrpgs are in your top 5?

I’m feeling the exact same way. There are aspects of social media I love, but it’s so full of misguided vitriol that it’s becoming incredibly difficult to tolerate. Giving Bluesky a chance and hoping to find a good TTRPG community here.

Can't recall the exact year but it was AD&D 2E. Specifically Dragonlance. I had discovered the novels, loved them, and then I found out I could play in the setting via D&D.

I feel like video games with shakey arms adds a whole new level of difficulty.
