The Playdate is a very interesting device. It's very hard to recommend, but if you just love video games as a medium, trying a lot of games, and discovering new favorites, this console is one of the best for that.

Really awesome game. Dialogue between characters is snappy and plentiful. Every character has a personal arc they go through, and emotions and conflict run high. Exploration is very Uncharted like.

I understand the disappointment coming off of the RE2 remake. But years after the release, it's a short fun romp through Raccoon City.

Loved the speedrun type gameplay and anime aesthetics. Fun dialogue, story, and characters.

I'm a big fan of Neir Automata. Replicant is much more compelling in certain aspects, but has pretty bad pacing after the first couple of New Game Pluses.

I don't know what it says about me that I want to be in the Cyberpunk world for so long. Maybe it's because V is objectively having a bad time in a shit world, but somehow has time to help all of their friends.

Played with a friend in person and online and didn't have to buy a copy. It's such a smart way to do co-op games like this. I didn't particularly care for the characters or the story, but solving co-op puzzles when you both have different powers is good video games.

I'm not really a JRPG guy, or a Yakuza guy. I understand that this is a moral failing on my part. The way Ichiban's positivity interacts with real world issues makes every story and battle so compelling. Great stories, great combat, great setting, and great characters.

I've been playing Balatro on and off all year. Great game, addicting, and so easy to play on whatever you have, wherever you are.

I've beaten Demon's Souls, but I've never super gotten into any Dark Souls. I appreciate the difficulty, but I can't handle the sustained frustration of not being able to get through a section. Elden Ring takes everything that makes a Souls game good and makes it open world.
