The Halloween vibes were also great in Toronto last night, but I also appreciated just how dramatically all Halloween rituals ended at 8pm in time for the first pitch of game 6. 😆

People outside (and inside!) Toronto were often mystified by Rob Ford’s popularity as mayor, but the guy loved talking to people. He famously gave out his cell number to tons of folks and answered and returned calls. He made people feel heard at a city hall that otherwise can feel alienating.

I’ve seen some bad movies, but Lawnmower Man 2 is the only one I’ve ever walked out on at the cinema. I don’t even think I made it halfway.
