Oh, boy! Social media!
Here's a paragraph you might not expect to find in a 1998 sci-fi/super hero paperback for babies.

Unless you're familiar with Animorphs, in which case you would know that the series is routinely like this.

Anyway. I hope everyone enjoyed zooming in on this tasty Gex feet pic.

I love high-resolution promotional art from the early days of 3D video games. In-game, you're getting 13 triangles glued together in the vague shape of a guy, crunched down and interlaced on a screen that could fit in your JNCO pockets.

And then the let loose, and wowww, those shadows and textures.

These images are from 1998!

What a tragedy that Rockstar is now fully committed to photorealistic humans and union-busting. Imagine the last quarter century if management had believed in Space Station Silicon Valley the way they believe in Grand Theft Auto or abusing workers.

Square-Enix vs. testers.

I'd planned to do better with my All Hallow's Eve costume, but I ended up feeling miserable for most of October. Whoops.

This shouldn't be controversial. The series' most famous moment was when He crossed from Old Testament Charlie Brown to New Testament Charlie Brown.

I play so much trash that this answer probably isn't accurate, but it's hard to believe I stuck with the America's Next Top Model Wii game to the very end.

Hilarious for the first hour or so; contemptuously worthless beyond that.

Don't. I looked up insect mating habits ONCE, and I still get targeted ads.

After two days of streaming fast-paced shooters, I thought I'd try something more casual today. A nice hidden-object game, perhaps.

Instead, I spent my day wrestling with bizarre tech issues and ran out of time for streaming. The good (?) news is that it's finally working. See ya tomorrow morning.

What is Haunt the House: Terrortown? I don't know, but it's awfully cute, and it was developed by SFB Games (Snipperclips, Crow County, Detective Grimoire), so I have high hopes.

Stream starts...any minute now! (Eep. I typed this 20 minutes ago and forgot to click Post!)

Wow, really? I streamed 82 games last time!?

It's cool. Horror sequels are allowed to be the same thing but worse. It's expected, even.
September 30, 2025 at 5:48 PM
For last year's Haunt Lavy, we ranked each game I streamed and identified the lesson we learned along the way.

This year, as is horror sequel tradition, we're doing the same thing again.

Grab your calendar and draw a fat circle around the entire month of October! Haunt Lavy is back!

Join me at twitch.tv/HotLavy for as much streaming as I can physically cram into 31 spooky days. Scary games, sweet games, old games, news games, good games, barely functional games, and so much more!

I used to mock Nyko's AirFlo, but now that I'm on multiple medications that list hyperhidrosis as a common side effect, I wish they'd bring it back.

...which they briefly did in 2021, before I was sweaty. Rats.

This is what happens when magazines and silly marketing budgets die.

It felt like media and politicians were focused on Epstein in a way that might actually lead somewhere, and then everyone all turned to Kimmel, the escalator, Tylenol, Comey...

We should shine lights on and mock that nonsense, but I'm begging ya; we have to see SOMETHING through to a conclusion.

It looks like Steam was nothing but an Audiosurf client for me for 2 1/2 years, which like, yeah. Heck, yeah. That's so much better than how I use Steam now.

2011 looks like my first big Steam year, but Freedom Pack (Freedom Force and its sequel) and BG&E were gifts for a friend.

I'm so sick of generations being bad at restaurants. Every single person born between one year and another year does restaurants wrong.

I saw a helpful infographic from the local school district regarding a new state law banning Texas students from having "personal communication devices" in school.

How long will it take before my call for civil disobedience gets removed from Nextdoor? I'm saying three hours, tops.
